The Renfrew Wolves are proud to announce the coaching staff for our Junior B affiliate the Valley Timberwolves! The program will be run by Head Coach and GM Gord Goldberg, while Mike Peplinskie and Braeden Cameron will join as Assistant Coaches.
Gord is no stranger to coaching in the valley, as he spent many years coaching in the Pembroke Minor Hockey Association, including a stint with the midgets where he led them to four straight league and playoff championships. He also spent time as an Assistant Coach for the Pembroke Lumber Kings U18AAA program, before joining the Junior B ranks as an Assistant Coach with the White Water Kings. Gord then took over the White Water Kings program as the Head Coach last season.
Mike has been coaching at various levels for over 12 years, including running preseason conditioning and spring/summer skills programs. During recent years he coached his Midget Rep B team to a regular season and playoff championship, and also spent 3 seasons coaching AA in the Ottawa Valley Aces Organization.
Braeden, a native of Renfrew, grew up playing through RMHA, winning championships in both Bantam and Minor Midget. He then spent 5 years playing through RCI before starting his coaching career in 2012. While going to school in Kingston, Braeden coached part of a season of Junior B in Gananoque, before returning home to coach at the varsity level. He has spent the past few years coaching in Renfrew and was the Head Coach of Renfrew’s U18 program. When he has time, he also volunteers with other teams, as well as works in hockey camps.
We are very thrilled to have such a committed and experienced staff running the Timberwolves!
